Living Art by Leah
Ritual, Decorative, & Commemorative Judaic art
created out of a desire to honor the beautiful traditions of the Jewish people.

About the Artist
Born in Brooklyn, New York, the artist has roots in two distinct Jewish cultures as the daughter of first generation Americans whose families immigrated from Russia on her father's side and Turkey on her mother's. As a child, she enjoyed the unique opportunity of experiencing old world Sephardi and Ashkenazi customs first hand in her grandparents and great-grandparents homes. This early history gave the artist a great longing to share her cultural roots with her own family and friends and has of late led her to create unique pieces of art to enhance the rituals of both cultures.

l'Dor va Dor
As a former teacher of children and adults, Leah is proud to use her knowledge and life experience to add to the vast richness of our beloved Jewish culture and traditions. It is her hope that her work will inspire others to reach back and bring their own histories into the present, fostering the Jewish mandate of l'dor va dor.

Our Mission
To create functional art that adds beauty to the celebration of Jewish rituals, and encourages the continuity of Jewish customs from one generation to the next, in Hebrew, l'dor va dor. But we also intend to help sustain Jewish life, and our Jewish community as a whole, for this generation and the next. To that end, Living Art by Leah will be available for purchase through Jewish organizations and institutions, and will often donate a portion of sales in support of those organizations.
Living Art by Leah can be purchased online at www.livingartbyleah.com and is currently available in select Judaica gift shops.
We are also available to partner for fundraisers and offer Reverse Painting workshops. If you know of a group or institution that might like to carry Living Art by Leah items, or have a workshop, please send us a message.
